IOT Festival Launch – Performance

The Internet of Things (IoT) Festival, initiated by the Engineering and Computer Student Clubs of Mauritius, with the support of companies operating in the IT industry, will begin on Friday, 1st October, with a series of webinars.

This festival aims to introduce the concept of connected things to the participants and give them a solid foundation to build upon by experimenting with this technology. The Internet of Things is one such emerging technology that offers tremendous potential for innovation in many fields and professions.
The Internet of Things is gaining momentum thanks to smart technologies. Students can easily gain experience with home projects because they are not complicated to use, and the components are quite affordable. They will be able to find work more easily because more and more companies offer this type of service “,” explains Irfan Ali Sabrati, founder of the IOT Festival and executive member of ACM Chapters Mauritius.
In Mauritius, the clubs involved in organizing this festival are: UoM IET On Campus, UoM ACM Student Chapter, Microsoft Student Ambassadors Mauritius, CyberCity ACM Chapter, IEEE UTM SB, IET Mauritius.
